How long does it take to build an e-commerce store?

The completion time of an e-commerce store depends on the project scope, number of products, and required features. It also depends on ongoing projects and the waiting queue.

If someone promises a proper e-commerce store in a couple of weeks, it's worth being cautious. A well-thought-out store that accounts for client input and testing doesn't usually come together that quickly.

In practice, a realistic development time often starts from about four weeks, and for more complex projects, we're talking months.

The speed of completion is also affected by how much and how quickly the necessary material is available – so you can contribute to the (fast) completion of the project with quick feedback and clear communication!

Can I manage the e-commerce store myself?

Yes. The day-to-day management of the e-commerce store is designed for the business itself.

From the dashboard you can, for example: • add and edit products • change prices and promotions • manage orders • add content pages • monitor sales data

A developer is usually only needed when you want to add new features, make major changes, or resolve technical issues.

Who adds the products?

This depends on the number of products and the project agreement.

In that case, hundreds or thousands of products can be added to the store at once. Additionally, where possible, necessary, and reasonable, we now also apply AI for organizing and compiling product spreadsheets.

Yes, but with a large product range, it's important that product management is well thought out.

When an e-commerce store has thousands of products, we typically use mass import and mass editing tools and techniques. This allows, for example, changing product prices all at once, updating product information, or adding promotions to an entire category.

Such tools make managing a large e-commerce store significantly faster and more practical.

What can the e-commerce store be integrated with?

The most typical e-commerce integrations are, of course, with shipping and payment providers, but alongside that, we most frequently integrate accounting software, warehouse programs, and other business software so that order information automatically reaches the right place.

Additionally, there are the standard marketing integrations for e-commerce stores (such as newsletters), but today also solutions and processes needed for AI use.

Is the e-commerce store SEO optimized?

Yes. Every e-commerce store is completed with a comprehensive SEO strategy, and the initial setup is in place. From there, you can manage SEO elements yourself when adding content to the store.

For example, you can change page titles, metadata, URL structure, category texts, and image alt texts.

This means the e-commerce store can be optimized for search engines without needing a developer for every change.
